Whether you're a garage band, working cover band or a popular touring act it is important to realize that live acts are not only audio presentations but visual as well. Banners and backdrops serve many purposes:

Banners and backdrops come in a variety of sizes, styles, shapes and materials. If you are just starting out you may only need a 3'x3' vinyl banners with your bands name on it. If you are a national act you may require a 50 foot tall large format backdrop that can be backlit for an awesome stage effect.

Type of banners and backdrops

There are 4 basic materials we use to create soft style banners and backdrops.

1) 13oz Vinyl 13 oz. 100% opaque polyester reinforced vinyl banner stock.  Vinyl is an economical material used in screen-printing, digital printing, handpainting, computer cut lettering or graphics. Vinyl works well for small, large and extra-large graphics. It has an ultra-smooth matte surface on both sides and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.  Our 13 oz. has excellent lay-flat qualities and accepts vinyl letters and screen-printing. 2) Translucent Vinyl Draw the attention of your audiences! Translucent vinyls are meant to be used with a light source behind them. This can prove to be a very attention grabbing effect on stage. Printed on high quality translucent vinyl for vivid color outputs when used with your light box applications. Printed with UV protective ink for out door durability. 3) Mesh Vinyl Mesh vinyl has many of the same features as traditional vinyl, including the ability to handle harsh weather conditions.  However, mesh vinyl has holes in it so light and wind can get through.  Mesh vinyl banners and signs are typically used in outdoor applications where a very large format vinyl banner will be out in the open, as opposed to attached to a building or other solid structure.  An example of this would be when a large format vinyl banner is going to be attached to a fence at a construction site.  In situations such as these, mesh is likely going to be a better choice because other type of vinyl could act as a very large sail, putting considerable strain on the fence in heavy winds and could even bring the fence down.  Mesh vinyl allows the wind to pass through the banner. 4) 2-Sided Blackout Fabric Blackout banners are often used as street banners stretched across roadways, attached to poles adjacent to streets, or used along side high volume two-way traffic. Blackout banner construction minimizes and in most cases eliminates the problem of viewers being able to see the back side of the banner, sometimes called "shadowing through". This most often occurs when light or sunshine is coming from the direction of the back side of the banner. Blackout banners reduce the necessity of buying two banners to achieve the same result. If you have a need to have imagery on both sides of your banner or advertisement, the 2-sided blacout fabric is the way to go. The material does not contain the lamenated mesh inside of it like normal vinyl does. This results on a smooth opaque printable surface on both sides of the material.
